Terms, Conditions, Acknowledgements & Contract Agreement

This information can be found on your registration form when signing up for classes at Zapphire School of Dance and on our notice board in the studio. 

  • Students are required to have the correct Zapphire uniform and shoes required for the class within 3 weeks of joining. We have a shop online and also at our studio. Uniform can be purchased any time but can take up to 2 weeks to arrive. 

  •  Ballet Buns are encouraged for all Ballet & Tap Classes. 

  • Jewellery should not be worn in class.

  • All students should arrive promptly and attend classes regularly.

  • Students attendance may effect certificates and medals at the end of the term.

  • No food in class, only drinking water.

  • Please note we are unable to accept responsibility for your child until the class starts.

  • Please do not bring valuables into class or onto the premises. Zapphire School of Dance do not accept the responsibility for items lost, stolen or damaged. 

  • Students will have access to the changing facilities and toilets at all venues. We ask you to please keep these clean and tidy. 

  • Consent must been given for a student is leaving class on their own.

  • Please respect and follow parking guidelines for the site. Please park in the car pack, visitor bay or off road. School car parks are fine to park in if attending a class at a primary school, but please refrain from blocking cars in.

  • Please inform us of changes such as address, telephone, email or medical conditions.

  • We will not tolerate rudeness to staff. Parents, students or families will be asked to leave the class without notice and without a refund.

  • All members of staff are subject to full DBS checks. Physical contact by teaching staff may be necessary to correct alignment, correction & posture.

  • On occasions, student teachers will sometimes take part in lessons, teaching assistants may also help with the teacher’s instruction and guidance.

  • In signing up you are accepting dance is a physical activity and consent that your child is well enough to take part. 

  • On occasions we may wish to photograph or film students for publicity events, exam practice or promotion. These photographs maybe placed in local papers, leaflets, social media or on our website. Students names will not be added. If you do not wish your child to be included please advise us in writing or advise when registering your child.

  •  We will endeavour to give as much notice as possible regarding changes to our timetable and will make up any cancelled classes. Refunds will not be given. 

  • We offer a free trial for every new student. (Excluding private lessons). 

  • Lessons will be invoiced per term in advance. Fees are due before the first week of term and can be paid by cash or BACS. An administration charge of 10% will be applied if payments are late and discounts will not be given.

  • Half a term notice is required when leaving a class or the dance school. (6 weeks notice) via letter or email. Fees remain payable in cases of absence and there are no reductions for sickness or holidays.

  • We email parents frequently with information, invoices and newsletters. Please check email and keep up to date via our Facebook page and notice board.

  • In order to register a child with our school, these terms and conditions will be included along with a registration form.
